Lol seems like it and yeah I think Luke is taking the smoking thing to the extreme.

I don't like smokers myself but dated a woman who smoked and quit beforehand, never would have known if she didn't tell me.

I think Luke has quite a few character flaws. He seems pretty stubborn and unmoving off of specific topics. You either like what he likes or he will move on from you.

He also seems to have the mental projection of being sophisticated while having little to no money. Kate seems like if she wasn't from the South, you would think that she lived there all her life by her mannerisms. She just seems really sweet and open, which also leaves her major character flaw open for the world to see. She can't handle stress in an adult way. She either reaches for booze or cries about it. And for someone as uppity as Luke, that could be a turn-off.

Kate needs a man that can be her rock under any circumstances. Luke seems to want a guy to marry.
