With the first semifinal playoff game under our belts it shows how far we are from competing for the top spot. Clemson destroyed a Notre Dame team that LSU lost to in last year's bowl. I know it was a meaningless bowl but we still lost. Bama has destroyed us in recent history. We are closer talent wise but not coaching wise. We still have at least 2 more years of Coach Ensminger being that he is 2 years away from retirement at the highest pay he will get towards retirement. Where LSU goes to for OC then may determine if we get back to where we want to be. That is if Aranda stays, then we back to Stage 1.

We already know where we stand. This game didn’t teach us anything. We are a good team who may or may not improve

We are honestly pretty close, and this will be the first year I feel good about the QB going into the season.

How many times does it need to be said? LSU will continue to have these types of seasons because those in charge of LSU are content with these results. In other words, they are content with the revenue generated and are unwilling to take any risk.

We are not far off. We are loaded with experience next year for the first time in a while. And the schedule is lighter

In what world is last years bowl game relevant to this year whatsoever?
You do realize that teams change every year right?
You obviously just take every chance you can get to piss on our coaching staff, even if it makes zero sense...

Clemson has a 5* LT. 3 DL that are top 10 picks.
A homerun hitting Rb. Dabo doesn't specialize in anything. (Sound familiar?) They are leaps & bounds better on the lines of scrimmage.
Don't forget the #1 qb in America coming out of high school.

LSU has more talent than 3 or the 4 playoff teams. Here is the difference.

1. An administration committed to winning
2. Dynamic offense & Coordinator
3. Defensive Linemen
4. Quarterback

That’s the nugget that shows your true intent of the post. Just stopped by to bash the staff.

if it were that easy. That would suggest that those top 5 classes would have had LSU in the Top 5 nearly every year, but piss poor coaching didn’t reveal that.

LSU is a top 10 program

The problem is that Bama is on a whole different level and is on the schedule every year.

LSU loses by 30 to Clemson or Bama...And by 14 to Notre Dame or OU...
