Are they making the new A-Bolts like the original?
I have an original and I love it. Great gun. However I have heard horror stories on the 2nd generation and even worse on the AB3.
Quick look at the website shows the A-Bolt hasn't been in production since 2008.
Cabelas has an X-Bolt 270 for $809 before the $100 mail in rebate. I would personally prefer the 308 or 7mm-08, but the X-Bolt is a great shooting gun. The biggest downside to the X-Bolt is very limited aftermarket. But if you don't want to make a bunch of changes it is a really great rifle.
I want to try the Bergara, they have great reviews. And of course the Tikka is a great gun too.
