Couple of things..
SLC and Dodge still played defense. Chad Morris when he was at Lake Travis is responsible for the offense that most of the state (and country) run right now.
Duncanville was in NO way in one of the toughest districts. Actually one of the below average districts.
Their defense is legit. For those saying Allen is going to roll, that’s not going to happen. Allen may win, but they aren’t even the favorite amongst most TXHSFB experts right now.
Allen gets (deservedly so) so much shite for their enrollment and refusal to build a second school.
But everyone should understand something about Duncanville. They have an attendance zone that is basically DFW. They are open enrollment. And recruit like crazy. Their QB (arguably their best player) lives across the street from West Mesquite HS. That’s 25 miles and about 8 school districts over for his commute. They also have players from Garland, Dallas, Richardson, Grand Prairie, Cedar Hill, DeSoto and more. They are basically a south DFW all star team.
But no one should be surprised. Their coach, Reggie Samples, does that wherever he goes. He did the same thing while at Dallas Slyline, and barring a last second TD by Kyler Murray, would have knocked Allen out of the playoffs back then.
The awesome thing about Texas HSFB is that as good as those two teams are, they aren’t even the odds on favorite to win the 6A D1 title right now. Houston Northshore looks unbeatable. And they will play Lake Travis this weekend.
So many great matchups coming over the last two weeks of the playoffs.

Could have sworn that most of Texas was an air raid offensive syste. Chad, while loving to throw it around the yard too is from the same offensive tree Gus is. A spread wing T is how they describe themselves. Someone else more informed please feel free to correct me
