Has anyone read either of the John Gwynn series?
Faithful and Fallen is great. What Gwynn does best is character development and battle scenes.
The world building isn’t anything special if that’s what you’re looking for, kind of generic medieval European landscapes.
But his battle scenes are brutally violent, but realistic and not really over the top.
And he makes you really care for or absolutely loathe the characters. To the point that some some deaths are heartbreaking and others just so satisfying

I’m about halfway through with “Last Argument of Kings” the 3rd book in the first law trilogy. Is there a second trilogy after this or is it something completely different? Didn’t want to Google for fear of spoilers.
