Well, there have been four Presidential deaths since 1994 - Nixon, Reagan, Ford, and Bush. The last one prior to Nixon was Johnson in 1973, 21 years prior.

There was a cluster of three at that time - Eisenhower in 1969, Truman in 1972, and Johnson in 1973.

Nixon's was low key at his request. He could have had the full-blown state funeral if he wanted. Reagan, Ford, and Bush are having all of the pomp and circumstance afforded to a former President. It all seems about equal to me.
