LSU should be thankful they got a coach that bleeds Purple and Gold more than any in tesm history.
Anyone who uses this argument deserves zero credibility.
This is argument on pure emotion

Choice??? Orgeron was not a Choice.
'Alleva the Search' never left Nicholson Drive.
It appeared Alleva simply applied some white-out over Herman’s name to write Orgeron’s over it, chopped the salary down by a couple million and handed Coach O a contract to sign.
We were promised an Offensive Coach.
The Off has not improved.
O is losing ground on ALA, TAMU, and is 5-3 in the SEC.
"I don't care how I got here, man. I'm a defensive lineman." Orgeron

18 yrs ago, LSU boldly set the market for a new football coach when they hired Saban from Michigan State for $1.2 million. Chancellor Mark Emmert stepped in and stopped the quibbling between Saban’s agent, Jimmy Sexton, and LSU and said “Pay him what he wants.”
And it was done. Emmert wasn’t looking for a bargain. He was shopping at Neiman Marcus, and he got value over a long period of time because he didn’t settle for a journeyman defensive assistant coach.
Emmert’s shot at the moon launched LSU’s football future out of the futility over the previous quarter century into sustained greatness for over a decade. There were NCs in 2003 and 2007 after none since 1958 and an NC appearance at 13-0 in 2011. There were Southeastern Conference titles in 2001, ’03, ’07 and ’11 after none since 1988.
LSU was never greater for longer than in that span because Emmert had the vision to "Pay him what he wants".
