I’m local to Hoover and my high school classmates are blowing up my news feed. Here’s the latest

Peaceful protest is supposed to make you uncomfortable. It inconveniences you. So maybe for 30 minutes or an hour or however long you are forced to look at it. If it was on the side of the road most people would just go "huh, look at that" and keep driving but if it takes you out of being a spectator and then having to deal with it, you pay attention. It makes you angry? Good, the protestors are angry too. Got places to be and people to see? Yeah they do (or did in the cases of surviving family members) too. What about ambulances? They are routed around protest. If you notice, every protest so far has been announced in advanced. If an ambulance driver gets stuck in it it's their own fault.
