We took our kids to Disney world at those ages and it was perfect. We hit the parks when they opened went back to hotel for late lunch and rest during the busiest park time and then back to the parks late afternoon when many people were starting to leave park. As long as you don’t force yourself to fight the crowds all day, I think you will find it enjoyable.
We did cruise when they were 10 & 12 and it probably a good option but I wish we would have waited a couple of years. It was enjoyable but my 10 year old was sort of in limbo - too old fire kiddie stuff not quite old enough for teen stuff.
