I like the Aquaman character. And Jason Mamoa just exudes cool. The character was cool if not a bit one note in Justice League. But I honestly think I’m more excited for Shazam! than Aquaman. It I’m hanging out with family/friends around Christmas and they want to see this, I will. But I might just wait til like a week before Shazam! comes out and Redbox this

Mamoa is fine as Aquaman. Heard is gorgeous. I'm mostly looking forward to seeing what Wan does with this, and seeing Atlantis and the different ocean nations in all of their glory.
I'm tired of the cold, grey worlds of Krypton, Gotham, and Metropolis that we've had to endure. And that's not all on Snyder's shoulders. Donner didn't have an infinite budget so an ice world Krypton made more sense for his needs than the technicolor, tech heavy utopia of the comic book Krypton. Wonder Woman's Paradise Island was a nice break, but they kept that fairly small in scale.
I'm looking forward to a shining Atlantis, with futuristic fantasy technology mixed in with the ruins of an ancient civilization. I don't want a small, introspective superhero for Aquaman. I want a big movie. And it looks like Wan will deliver.
