The henry levers are overlooked - I bought one about 5-6 years ago and love the action on it.

Plus one for Henry lever action. I bought one for my dad a couple of years ago. Sweet gun if you like lever action. Otherwise 10/22 is tried and true. Also, if you like the AR look, M&P 15-22 (3/4 size of AR). Fun to shoot, but I probably wouldn't buy one again because mine is picky about ammo though.
