You’re making it up as you go but it is entertaining.
The official ruled it an incomplete pass. He waved the play dead. Doesn’t matter who picked it up and ran whenever. The ref simply made a call. He decided it was an incomplete pass. It could have gone either way and you could make an argument for it being called either way. But the official made his call.
