This is what i was planning on doing, I had read somewhere that the float was the "likely" issue. Don't want to do begin that project in the middle of hunting season.
What would cause the float to stick?

Gas with ethanol. Carb is likely full of white crusty shite. It doesn't take a long time. There are videos on youtube.

Taking the bowl and float off is an easy job. It'll take you longer to get the carb out. Take several pictures of everything during disassembly since it's your first time
