quote:Complete and total contrast between LSU and the Saints Offense. Only 70 miles divided and the Saints have one of the best Offenses in the history of the NFL, meanwhile LSU has one of the worst in College football.
Our coaches spent a whole half day down there. It should be identical.
Seems like they (LSU) could learn a little something in the off-season from Brees and company. So close, but so far.
I strongly suggest LSU does what the Saints did a few years ago and renovate the Offensive Line for immediate results.
Step 1. They got Max Unger in the Jimmy Graham trade with the Seahawks. Step 2. They drafted Andrus Peat in the first round. Step 3. They drafted Ryan Ramczyk (Wisconsin ) in the first round the following year. Step 4. They added Terron Armstead and a few competent back-ups for depth. The Offense has been off the charts ever since.
LSU will have to follow the same philosophy or they'll never step out of the Dark Ages Offensively and will never seriously challenge the Red Devils in the SEC West. If they keep on doing the SOS, they'll continue to get the SOS results. More "Meds" to come if there is no OL philosophy reconfiguration...……...
