Yeah, I have read of a lot of people dong it and it messing with the barrel and potentially other parts expanding but I would imagine there have been a lot of old baws that just went for it when the lead ban happened.

End of the barrel on the Belgian made barrels is thin. I think that was the main reason with the possibility of the barrel failing. It still grouped the steel shot pretty tight from what I remember.
