I have always had an affinity for the state of Louisiana, history and the civil war. I have family that served and one of my ancestors was even a sgt for the st James rifles and was captured at port Hudson! I know that several reanactments go on around the area but I’m just wondering if anyone here knows how to join up! Also any advice from some reanactors that might post here is welcomed!
Serious here: if reenactments are your thing, read Tishomingo Blues by Elmore Leonard.
Awesome crime novel with a civil war reenactment as the backdrop.
Possibly my favorite novel of his. And that's saying a lot.
