I loved the Old Man's War series and Lock In by Scalzi. I just finished Head On and it was garbage. Agent to the Stars was also garbage.

I enjoyed old Mans War also, have you read any of the Collapsing Empire series?

And if you want some great sci-fi read The Expanse. Haven’t seen the tv series they made from it but the books are fantastic.

I think he has a ghost writer, as head on was just so bad. And he released three books in a year.

I really like scalzi, le guin, neal stephenson, vernor vinge, ian banks. No particular order. I read a lot of sci fi, probably 20-30 books a year.
