The record doesn’t really reflect what was expected. This team was picked by some to go 7-5 and now are solidly a 9-3 team with the fall of AU and Miami. Big disappointments.
Heck, MSU isn’t really all that good either from what we saw last week. They cannot pass at all even when their receivers are open. We will get a gauge of how good they are (and we are) when Texas AM plays them tomorrow. If Texas AM beats them soundly, it might mean we are in for a tough game in College Station. They lost to Bama and Clemson in both hard fought games. Granted, it was before Clemson turned it on in the last few weeks and Bama was still sorting out things to a certain extent.
There is still a tough road ahead, but these types of losses by Miami and Auburn will make LSU less attractive for bowl games to some extent.
