It's ludicrous to think the wall would do anything

This is the only thing Democrats try to pass off as a suggestion about controlling illegal immigration - some variant of “the wall is stupid.” This is often preceded or followed by a rhetorical question- “who said anything about open borders?”

So. If you don’t want an “open border” but you also don’t want immigration limits, merit based citizenship requirements, a physical barrier, and an enforcement arm for violators of the law’s in place how exactly do you suggest we prevent an open border?

well done, Sherlock. Now that you've gathered this evidence what does it tell you? Could it be that people are asking these rhetorical questions because they never said anything about supporting open borders? These are the way the borders have always been regardless of what party has been in power so it's ludicrous just to pin it all on Democrats.

Right-wing leaders in media know exactly what to say to get you guys riled up and that's it. Just accept for a second that the borders are the same as they've always been, that there's been a less people coming across the border, that more people are being deported all the time, and that a wall wouldn't do a goddamn thing
