Saban is not going g back to the NFL where his coaching deficiencies can become evident again.
It's not so much about coaching deficiencies as it is that he can't cherry pick his roster and have a huge talent advantage over the opposition. You can tie that back to his coaching but the guy is an excellent coach because he knows the game, pay attention to the most intricate of details, has mad organizational skills.
Roster management and massaging egos of multimillionaire players are the other components that are the great equalizer in the NFL. Saban doesn't want to tackle that.
He's going to obliterate the record for most National titles and then, one day, when he is a shriveled old Paterno-like figure he will hang it up. He's already a grouchy, holier than thou likeness of JoePa.

Johnny U, Saban is playing monopoly against virtually every school by starting the game with boardwalk & park place with hotels on them and 50k in cash. When he tried the league that seperates the men from the boys as far as coaching acumen, he was MEDIOCRE AT BEST. You can even look at him in college. He has probably coached 90% of his games with a HUGE talent advantage, and dominated. I bet if you looked close in those other 10%,(where his opponent had similar talent), his record is similar to his nfl record. That being said, he is the greatest college coach ever.
