There are about 17 different breeds of "pit bull" and only 5 or 6 are responsible for 99% of attacks. People who hate on all pit bulls are ignorant, they are not all the same.

This isn’t true. The vast majority of people can easily identify a pit bull. While there may be some variation in appearance a pit bull or pit bull mix is readily identifiable by even most lay people.

Since 2005 pit bulls and Rottweilers have accounted for 71% of all dog attack related fatalities in the US. Of the fatalities more than 1 in 4 was a child aged 0-2.

I have an outdoor stray cat that has taken us residence in the woods beside my house for about 2 years. It comes up to the door to be petted every time we come home. We pet it and it is happy. But yesterday, I saw it carrying a squirrel in its mouth. When it saw me, it came over to me and dropped the squirrel at my feet like it was giving me a present. Then it started gnawing on the head and crunching bones. I watched it for a few minutes as it began to consume the head and then went inside. I came out an hour later and only the tail remained. The cat was gone. I wondered “did the cat really eat the whole mutha fricking squirrel. Savage!” I saw the cat later that day and it seemed happy. Purring and rubbing against my pants leg.

I know this want about a pit bull but just wanted to share a cool cat story.
