I disliked Capaldi at first, but over time I really enjoyed his Doctor.
I thought Whittaker was ok although she seemed to be doing a mashup impersonation of Tennant and Smith.
While it was time for him to go, I will miss Moffet's writing. This version is decidedly slower paced and at times the dialogue is clunky in a Scooby Doo sort of way.

I thought it was OK. Not a bad first episode. She was honestly better than I thought she’d be.
