I'm sure he didn't tell higher ups to GFY when they asked him to appear. He probably said, "Look, it isn't how it appears. Have your lawyers get with my lawyers, but I can't comment on it right now. Hope you understand but let this play out."

Instead they'er patting themselves on the back because Sankey approves of their action, the same guy who basically told everyone to GFY while we waited on comments about the officiating from the A&M game.
