Cue: Twilight Zone theme music and Rod Serling's voice: You are about to enter another dimension. A dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land of imagination. Next stop, the LSU Football Twilight Zone!

Burrow was quoted as saying the QB read option play he ran in for a touchdown was drawn up in the mud during the game..... Say what? LSU has seldom made adjustments during halftime - no way did they run a play designed on the sideline during a game by what the defense was giving them! I'm shocked and in utter disbelief! I must be in the LSU Football Twilight Zone, or I'm dreaming of what I've always hoped for, smart coaches listening to smart players, then drawing plays up in the mud!!! It's unbelievable! I want to stay in The Twilight Zone!!!

Wouldn’t you rather go back to Miles/Shimbeckler/Old Big 10 Football from the 1970’s??? I’d rather take a bullet to the head!!!!

If Miles would have given Slinger cart-blanche authority over the offense we would have a National Championship from 2011 in LSU’s trophy case - when Miles originally offered OC to Ensminger - Slinger turned him down because all three of Slinger’s previous HCs are on the record that when he was their OC @ Clemson, Auburn & TX A&M, they “limited the play book”, handcuffed the offense & wanted a run pass ratio of 70/30.

Thus, Ensminger turned down Miles offer as OC b/c he knew Miles would never relinquish his death grip, rigid philosophy and hard headed adherence to “Bo Shimbeckler offense”.

Miles cost LSU way too many games - suck-it Miles pumping idiots!!!!!

I would rather be skull fricked than endure another I Formation power run, get the lead and run some more, then forget clock management 101 football season! Trying to get more points on the board before halftime last Saturday night was like a breath of fresh air!!!! LSU has had many smart QB's, but never trusted them to protect the ball when running out the clock was an option, well, except for the one game against Auburn many years ago that I need not go into details about.

I assume "Slinger" is Ensminger..? Sorry, I've never heard the nickname before.

Yes, Slinger was Ensminger’s nick name when he was QB @LSU in late 1970s.
