One of the first times I had met my FIL was when we were going to hunt at his farm. After he picked me up at my stand around 10 he asked did I want a tour of the property. I agreed and we drove around for a while. At one point we were driving past some of those concrete domes that are spaced out on sewage lines. (During WWII there was a German POW camp in Aliceville and the prisoners dug a sewage line from town to the Tombigbee river and this line went through our old hunting club. This line has long since been replaced by a modern system).

My FIL then pointed at the domes and said "if anyone ever fricks with me or anyone in my family, I'm going to kill them and dump their body in there".

Needless to say you could not have driven a 16P nail in my arse with a sledgehammer. When I got back to the house I remembered something I needed to do back in Tuscaloosa and headed home.

He and I are great friends now but that day he scared the shite out of me.
