-sounds like this guy was probably hanging around the homeless camp along the trail near Coldwater.
-She was likely walking from hole 8 to 9 when he saw her or approached her.
-No apparent screams or noise heard by anyone around, but according the KCCI interview her hat/ball marker were found on the ground, so possibly some sort of struggle.
-He either snuck up on her and completely subdued her, or he approached her and she didn't think anything of it until it was too late.

-then apparently he put her in the pond, likely right near the #9 tee box.

Just awful. From a golf perspective, those old guys did the right thing letting her play through. Just makes you wonder if this would have happened had she stayed behind them....I guess it's possible since this sicko still had the nerve to do it in broad daylight and somewhat in view of the clubhouse and apartments.
