I’ll vouch for the Franklin recipe also. Cooked it this weekend with a brisket.
Used Mexene Chili Powder, which has a great flavor, but not overly spicy. Also added some diced poblano pepper.
Cooked some usable brisket trimmings that I smoked for 2 hours.

I just used McCormick chili powder.
