What the??? What’s up with this?

The part owner and public face of a bunch of bars downtown lost to the sitting mayor during the election back in 2016. He then attempted to spark a recall effort against her. She had her cronies find an open container ordinance that had been on the books, but unenforced for decades, and wielded it to punish her opposition. Now, his bars are either all circling the drain or gone under. Several other bars have also bit the dust as a result, and all of downtown is suffering bigly. Now that the college and recent grad-aged girls no longer see Downtown as a prime "going out" destination, the blacks have started moving in in greater numbers, especially at the bars north of Florida like Hueys.

It’s really bad. Bad as in late 90’s early 2000’s bad.

Wow... gotta love South LA politics.

Incredible effort on the write-up. Thanks! I’ll have to try several of those myself, and I’m not a tourist.

One head scratcher... the Salvadoran restaurant is listed under Asian cuisine, haha!
