I’m not expert but here’s what I did for Roku (I have less issues with Firetv)
- hardwire connection (use Ethernet instead of WiFi)
- watch in 720p instead of 1080p
- only stream game (not other internet usage while watching game).
- make sure you have proper speed (at least 30)
- make sure modem is a 3.0 not 2.0
