I hate to hijack the thread but what kind of breathing problems is it having?
Ours has been coughing, snorting & panting a lot, on a steroid pack now & it hasn’t made a difference

Just heavy breathing. Not much coughing. Respirations around 35-40 per minute. Loss of appetite and really lethargic, which for a beagle is unusual to not want food.

Coughing is a sign of heart issues, fluid around the heart.

That was the first diagnosis and made perfect sense.

Due to other issues we came to find out it wasn't heart issues and have now started looking for what is causing the breathing issues.
