I'm not eating the dog. The dog is just aggravating me and doesn't know any better. The dog can't read signs but the owner can.

Then you will either have to learn to live with it or move on, no one is writing a dog a trespassing ticket and the owners are very well aware of what they are doing.
An dog is no different than an armadillo in the yard or a rat in your barn at the end of the day, leave them alone or lay them out, whichever pleases you more.
