Why does LSU not require its linemen to wear knee braces?

It seems like a lot of other teams require all O and D linemen to wear hard knee braces preventatively. Those two positions have the highest risk of knee injury, and every other game it seems like one of our big guys goes down at some point with some sort of minor or major knee injury.
I’ve torn two ACLs in my life, and the braces aren’t the most confortable things in the world, but they do add support. I just don’t see why you wouldn’t get every O and D line guy fit with those braces. Chances are they would pay off in no time.
