LSU could have 1 loss to Alabama this season and be left out of the SECCG. That could include wins over top 10 auburn and Georgia. Would anyone want them left out of the playoff because they didn’t win their league while the PAC 12 champ gets in with a loss to Utah? It seems people want to hold Alabama to a higher standard to justify their omission. I’m glad that there’s a group of people that have a better understanding of the game making that decision and not jealous fans with Alabama fatigue.
That scenario is completely different than Bama last year. Bama had no good wins last year. If Auburn and UGA are top 10, then damn sure LSU should be in the running.
Let's ask this another way; who was Bama's best win before the playoffs last year?
I've always given credit to Bama for when they get into the big games the perform. They play damn well and Saban has them ready to go. Doesn't always mean I agree with them getting there in the first place

Bama has lost their most significant regular season game more often than not during this current run. In fact, I think their only undefeated regular season was 2009.
2011 they lost their biggest home game and got a rematch.
2012 they lost their biggest home game and benefitted from "bridge scheduling" for their conference rivals.
The list goes on and on and on...
People act as if they are unbeatable.
Bama is great at learning from their mistakes, then capitalizing on second chances.
Remember the CFB slogan "Every Game Counts"? Remember ESPN pushing that hard when advertising their product? Then, in 2011, that slogan magically disappeared after The Game of the Century.
It then became "quality losses" and "eye tests".
Again, just another point as to why threads like this are started.
