I didn’t realize this was looked down upon. My dad (not an Aggie) always wore his ring to work. I also got a ring but stopped wearing it soon after I graduated (also not an Aggie). I just didn’t feel like dealing with it.

It's generally looked down upon with Aggies because we ALL wear them, and it goes along with the culty vibe we tend to put off

I don't wear mine, but my dad (an LSU grad) always wore his, no matter what he was doing. At work? The ring was on. Chopping down a tree? The ring was on. Changing the oil in his truck? The ring was on. It doesn't seem odd to me, even though I don't do it.
