quote:
This is how I vote:
I walk up to the table of my precinct with two old ladies that are volunteers.
I tell them my name.
They have a print out of registered voters and they turn to the page where my name and address is listed.
They then ask for my ID.
The first lady looks at it and makes sure my name and address match the voter roll. She then calls on the old lady next to her to look at the roll and my ID for double verification.
Once they agree that my ID and my voter roll info is copacetic, I then sign next to my name on the voter roll.
I am then allowed into the booth.
To vote, I have to be registered, have two people agree that my ID matches my roll entry and then provide my signature.
This is how I vote and I'm in Cali.
Not for nothing, but I'm registered with 3 different addresses in L.A. since I've moved once and have had a PO Box. I'm also still registered in Mass, Texas and La unless those states have cleaned up and purged their voter roles since I lived there.
Unless I'm voting in different states and districts that's not evidence of voter fraud, but evidence of shitty upkeep of voter roles.
