My mentor and hunting partner. One of the greatest blue eyed soul vocalist of all time along with LaCroix, Kimball and Doug Duffy.
I was honored when GG asked me to perform in his place at his club in Monroe when he was working his club in Alexandria. He taught me how to "sing through the top of my head", something I'd never heard of as young singer. I was blessed to share the stage with him on many nights and each and every time I was in awe of his abilities.
His range, pitch and melody were unsurpassed. When we would hunt together, I wanted to talk about the Boogie Kings or Chase......he wanted to talk about my line of work......hunting.
His work on Crying Man will always be one of the greatest soul performances.
GG was not only a legendary talent, he was a legendary person as well. He always took time with me and was willing to help me become a better singer.
