Tiger. I live close to you. Most likely those beans are planted on fallow cane rows. They plant early and harvest early so they can get out of the field in time for planting cane in those rows. It’s a defoliant they get sprayed with to speed the process up. You will probably see cane planted there shortly.

This is the exact reason for the early defoliant.
