Surely even you recognize the difference between a consensual relationship 14 years or so before Trump took office and Bill Clinton plowing a WH intern while holding said office?

I mean I don't care about either one much to be honest, but there is a pretty significant difference in the two

Trump's indiscretions are just as complicated and troubling as Clinton's IMHO. Trump has been accused of sexual assault / harassment multiple times. frick, he admitted to it.

The Clinton affair came out after the 1996 elections.

It didn’t hurt him in any election, but it did hurt Gore.

This will hurt elections for the GOP and Trump. His base will not care, but Independents will be the swing voters. There are more independent voters than republicans and Dems. How they swing is the most important thing for Trump. Trump got more independent voters in 2016, but that could turn in 2020 especially with independent women that went with Trump.
