They talk about that in the documentary. It sounds like it was partially torn going into the tournament. On Friday, he hit a ball way right and had to stand on the concrete, with golf shoes, and play his ball. He hits a ball within 25 feet of the pin but completely tore his ACL on that swing. His caddie told him to withdraw and he said "frick you. I am winning this tournament".
Also on the Monday playoff Rocco wore a red shirt to play in. He gets to the first tee and Tiger says "Nice fricking shirt".
