I only have 3 VMs that run 24/7. My home security, torrent and monitor service all on Ubuntu Servers. Used to do jails but don't like the isolation. My DNS and VPNs are all on RasPis.
You running any game servers?
What are you running anyway? I do everything inside FreeNAS. Just like having one iTX appossed to the 5-6 different systems I would have running.

I have freenas, pfsense, opnvpn, pihole, grafana, Plex, sonarr, radarr, IP cameras, and soon to be OBS and YouTube encoder all on my servers.
I'm trying to figure a cost effective way to put my PC on my server rack, but I'm not paying $500 for a thunderbolt 3 cable and dock station
