I heard her interviewed last night during a summer league game and it was the usual "we work just as hard as the men", bla, bla, bla.... Of course, the commentators (who were working for NBATV) didn't point out the CLEAR reason WNBA players get paid far less than NBA player.

1. I hope see didn't graduate with a degree in finance or economics from South Carolina. Otherwise, I'd be really worried about the business school at that institution. (EDT: Just checked. She majored in "Mass Comm." That makes sense. She obviously knows much more about tweeting than simple economics)

2. This silliness could be ended by businesses not being so fricking afraid to call people out on their stupidity. James makes $154 million because he's arguably the best player in the NBA and one of the most marketable athletes in the world. He makes $154 mill. He makes other businesses/people 10x's that amount. Maybe 1% of the country knows who Wilson is (or really any WNBA player). The ONLY reason she is paid as much as she gets is because the NBA completely subsidizes the WNBA. The NBA would divest itself of the WNBA if Wilson actually had to be paid what she thinks she deserves.

Based upon her logic, and that of like minded morons, the guy who picks up your garbage or cuts your grass should be paid as much as a heart surgeon because they both "work really hard."
