I'm assuming you meant "NOT" instead of "NOW" charging the battery.
When you got this machine, did you not get a service manual or some other type manual with it with a "Troubleshooting" section??? If so, check what they recommend first to see if anything is amiss.
Like already mentioned, make sure the battery terminal connections are clean, and secured tightly on the posts.
I don't know what type charging system these machines have, so I can't comment on what to look for in that respect.
