The actor Christopher Lee served in the SAS during WWII and never talked about it, even though it would have been an advantage to his career.

The founder of Delta, Charlie Beckwith, served an exchange tour with SAS and brought many of their traditions with them. No surprise they're a lot more closemouthed than their Navy counterparts.
