Dang. You need a new VA. The one in Shreveport, it's very respectful 100% of the time (in my experience), and there seems to be a high patient satisfaction rating. I overheard a couple docs saying that a lot of patients actually request to come to this VA (rather than other hospitals).
What really bothers me, though, is when able-bodied people park in handicap parking spots - anywhere, but especially at the VA.

All you have to do is file a complaint and heads will roll. About the only way a VA employee gets fired is if they pass off a veteran. The employees are trained to be extremely nice and professional to veterans.
I retired from the military 2 1/2 years ago and I use the VA for some things and I am very good friends with the supervisor of all nurses at a VA facility and she shitcans any nurse that doesn't put vets first.
