Yes.
It really is great for the event. I've read the articles and have a friend who works for the sports foundation and the NFL, corporate types, beer & liquor companies, and especially the media love when it is in Nola.
All of the events happen in a small area. The press conferences, private parties(and there are a ton of party venues), practices, hotels, etc are all practically within walking distance.
I've heard about how many cities, especially in Miami, they had to drive all over different areas to do their thing.
And yes, the weather, great restaurants, and hospitality help.

All right there close to the stadium too. It really is a perfect city for it.

Dallas had to suck too. No one likes Arlington.
