nonsense.
Weight won't transform Brennan into a great QB. Yes, it will make him a bit stronger and more able to absorb punishment, but weight isn't what's holding him back.
I'm shocked that so many posters think that's all that Brennan is missing.
Now some weight, with agility, would be helpful... no one ever said to a QB you're not "strong enough" "to be hit". 10 lbs of muscle ain't going to stop a broken sternum.
Someone mentioned a metabolism problem... maybe not a problem, maybe an age/frame issue. He's a legit 6'4" (maybe slightly more?) and still young, putting on mass just might not be his genetic strong suit. That will change, but who knows when.
What's holding him back? To these amateur eyes he did not look comfortable or confident in the spring game, at all. That's got to translate negatively in the coaches eyes and objectively (appearances aside) is likely and indicator of another issue such as he doesn't have concepts down. Or it might just be in his head. The arm is there, the confidence and decision making is not. Worth noting his pocket awareness seems much better than Mett's, but that hasn't translated into anything tangible.
Confidence matters. He was no-contact, so it's something other than the OL or fear of getting hit that's messing with him.
