MMA - Does the amount of talent between 145-170 demand another division?

FW, LW, WW are all pretty stacked with talent. Top 10 for each division is below.

In my opinion, there's enough talent there to create another division. Would this create too many divisions with a dilution of talent, or should it be done?

I would have 145, 153, 161, 170.

A few changes I could see:
Edgar, Swanson, Stephens seem like legit, true 145ers
Ortega, Holloway, Aldo, Conor, Tony seem like good fits for 153
Lee, Alvarez, Khabib, RDA, good fits for 161

Why are the weight classes different in boxing than MMA?

I wish there were less weight classes. All the 145ers could easily fight at 155.

I'm just curious, how many adult males do you know that weigh under 170lbs? I know maybe a handful and they are all under 5'6. Why are over half the belts dedicated to 5-10% of the population? The average adult male weighs like 190. There shouldn't be 9 classes under that weight and only 2 above. That makes no sense..
