The last time a sitting president atteneded a funeral for a former first lady was Bill Clinton at Jackie Kennedy's.
Before that, JFK at Eleanor Roosevelt.
Obama didn't attend funerals for Betty Ford and Nancy Reagan. Bush 43 didn't attend Lady Bird Johnson's funeral either.
Yeah, you get the idea that sitting Presidents don't go to these funerals.
