I just want to bump this thread bc I listened last night to the album with awesome pioneer headphones and man the production value is really strong, it's an entirely different album in headphones, and so much nuance.
Really enjoying this album, I went back to 13th step and Mer de Noms, and in retrospect Eat the Elephant still retains that APC feel and sound. APC has their own sound for sure and this album has it. I really didn't care for eMoTIV or w/e but I'm digging ETE.

Definitely. This album is very different but it still has that signature APC sound.

Didn't know this but this is the first ever holographic album.
It's pretty amazing actually, I have to get one

The band teamed up with Sundance award-winning filmmaker Steven Sebring for the unique addition to their deluxe box set offering of the disc. In the unboxing video above, you can see exactly how the whole thing works, with a special card providing instructions on how to access the feature via a prism, included in the boxset. The prism, when placed on a smartphone, generates a holographic accompaniment to the album.
In all, the hologram tells the story through a young girl’s eyes that plays out over the disc’s 12 songs. A visual sample of the hologram imagery can be viewed in the unboxing player above.
