1. The sound of that bat is a joke. It sounds like it is freaking loaded

2. Good night how much of the prototypical juice monkey baseball look does Larson have? I never noticed it as a kid

Squatty, legs about to rip out of his pants, and barrell sized forearms that look bigger than his biceps

I def noticed it as a kid but didn't make the connection to steroids. Him, Jason Williams, and Chad Cooley had the body shape of a square box

He was an impressive specimen. I have to say, biggest Popeye arms I've ever seen in the quad.

#1 Larson was legit.. knew him well, played with and against him... before creatine and "juice" he could still throw 91-92 across the diamond and run well.. did that stuff help? sure... helped all of us...

but nothing can come even close to those bats... They were loaded.. the difference in the size and weight alone makes a massive difference... 2 3/4 inch barrel back in the day with a negative five felt like a tooth pick... everyone could tank.. you could pop it up out the yard, (and that happened frequently) It was actually hard to miss the ball with that size barrel.. you could square anything up..

then in 1999-2000 they dropped the size to 2 5/8 and -3 weight... made a big difference but not enough for it to be safe for the pitcher.. you could still put out 15-20 hrs in 60 games... the BB-Core bat is designed to be dead.. thats why you only see guys hitting 10 at the most... the BB-Core is basically a wood bat..

I still have my orange and black reflex extended and hit with it on the field last week... Im almost 40 and was still putting them in the trees... told my players, yeah its a BB-Core and walked off.. haha
